This week we were finally able to tell everyone that we are expecting baby number two. We generally would not have waited so long, but we knew that on Christmas we would have the chance to tell the entire family all at the same time. This was such a rare opportunity that we just couldn't pass up the chance to share our exciting news with everyone, all at the same time!
Who was there:
My parents
My grandparents
My brother
Scott's mom
Scott's nanny
Scott's brother
The McCormicks

In the middle of opening presents Scott quietly took Victoria into the bedroom and changed her into a shirt that said "I'm gonna be a big sister." He then sent her back out to resume opening presents while we waited for everyone to notice. And we waited... and we waited... and no one noticed! Scott's mom eventually read Victoria's shirt and then said "yep, you will be someday." Scott and I could barely make eye contact since it was so funny! Finally, Jim McCormick, who was the first to notice and had waited patiently for everyone else to clue in got fed up and told Eva to read Victoria's shirt. My mom was sitting beside Eva so they read it together. At about the same time Scott's mom re-thought the shirt and said "oh.... is this a joke or are you serious?" At that point it was out in the open, after some explaining to the grandparents.
It was sooooo nice to be able to talk to people about it since it is such an exciting event for us and we kept it a secret for three full months!
